Firex 6030 Carbon Monoxide Detector and Alarm is a basic plug-in type CO alarm that senses Carbon Monoxide bio-mimetically. That is, it reacts similarly to carbon monoxide as hemoglobin reacts in human blood, thus minimizing nuisance alarms due to water vapor or high humidity. LEDs (light emitting diodes) signal whether the unit has power, when the alarm has been activated, and whether the unit is functioning properly. The plug on the back of the 6030 rotates to allow homeowners the ability to install the alarm in whatever orientation that best suits their needs. The unit also has a handy action guide card that slips inside the unit for quick reference.
