 WIRE IN CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORSAcross the country new fire safety codes are requiring wire-in or hard-wired carbon monoxide detectors with backup battery power in case of a power outage. Hardwire or wire in type carbon monoxide detector units are powered by wiring the alarm directly into the buildings AC power supply at a junction box.
Note: Wire-in type carbon monoxide detectors are permanently installed to prevent tampering. AC wire-in or hardwired Carbon Monoxide Detectors and Alarms can be interconnected with other devices including smoke, carbon monoxide, and heat alarms on one wiring network.
